A Tony’s Chocolonely ice cream taco is exactly the kind of fever-dream creation Willy Wonka would have scrawled on a napkin at 3am. We’d absolutely pay serious money for it, and we’re fairly confident we’re not alone on this one. But for one day only, Wahaca is kindly treating Londoners to 100 of these marvellous creations for free.

If you want to snap a free ice cream taco, run (don’t walk) to Wahaca Shoreditch (full address below) next Monday, the 20th of April. The taco party kicks off at 2:30PM so make sure to arrive as early as possible, as, judging by the look of the tacos, it’s likely there will be a queue. This giveaway is an exclusive chance to try the brand new limited-edition dessert item to hit the menu of our favourite Mexican restaurant, normally priced at £8.95 each, completely free of charge.

Created as part of its collaboration with Tony’s Chocolonely, the Tony’s ‘Everything’ Taco is filled with vanilla ice cream, rich chocolate sauce, candied pecans, honeycomb and a generous chocolate chunk. And to that we say, yes please.

But the real golden ticket? Attendees can win a year’s supply of Tony’s Chocolonely chocolate and an exclusive Wahaca churros gold card – 12 months of free churros, on the house. We would swim through a chocolate river for that.

The ice cream taco giveaway is strictly first come, first served, takeaway only (outdoor seating available).
