Have you ever noticed how a familiar scent can instantly change your mood? Whether it’s the calming aroma of lavender or the energising scent of citrus, fragrances have a subtle yet powerful impact on our emotions. So much so that 78% of UK consumers believe fragrance enhances their wellbeing.
With everyone realising how much a scent can change the way they feel, functional fragrances that boost mood, ease stress, and sharpen the mind are becoming increasingly popular.
Recognising this trend, Evolve Beauty has launched a brand new aromatherapy range (available on their website since 22 September 2025). Known for their ethical, small-batch skincare, Evolve is now offering four thoughtfully crafted blends – Energise, Nurture, Calm, and Detox – each supporting different moods and moments.
Here’s all you need to know about the scents. But first:
What is aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy uses essential oils (concentrated plant extracts) to create scent experiences that engage the senses and can influence mood. You can experience them by inhaling the aroma through a diffuser, applying a rollerball to your pulse points, enjoying a bath with a few drops of bath oil, or using a body or hand and body oil.
Some oils, like tea tree or lavender, have been studied for mild effects on the skin itself, such as temporary relief for minor irritations. However, beyond that, applying oils is mostly about enjoying the fragrance.
Certain scents are commonly associated with different effects: lavender is often perceived as calming, citrus as uplifting, and frankincense as grounding. Scientific studies suggest that smells can influence mood and perception, though responses vary between people.
Exploring the new Evolve aromatherapy range
Evolve’s collection is built around something they call the Bioenergetic Wheel, inspired by seasonal rhythms and the science of neurophysiology. The idea is simple: our energy needs can be grouped into four core states – Energise, Nurture, Calm, Detox – and each of the new blends is designed to meet one of those needs.
The products themselves are very versatile. You’ll find aromatic essences (undiluted essential oil blends for diffuser or carrier oils), handy pulse point roll-ons for on-the-go use, and indulgent bath and body oils. There are even matching hand and body washes and lotions so you can carry a scent through your daily routines. Prices range from £14 for a rollerball to £28 for a body oil. You can see the full range and learn more about it here.

Here’s a closer look at the four blends:
Joyful Light (Energise)
This one’s all about bottling daylight. A bright mix of neroli, sweet orange, and litsea sets the tone (citrusy, fresh, mood-lifting)with ylang ylang and petitgrain. It’s the kind of scent you’d want to smell when you need some extra motivation, inspiration, or just a lift out of the mid-afternoon slump.
Wild Divine (Nurture)
Described as a celebration of the “divine feminine,” Wild Divine is a softer, more nurturing blend. Rose Otto sits at the centre, long associated with the heart and emotional healing. Around it are palmarosa, rose geranium, sweet orange, and a surprising touch of cacao. The effect is floral with a warm, almost edible undertone. It feels supportive, sensual, and comforting all at once.
Zen Whisper (Calm)
As the name suggests, Zen Whisper is about switching gears into relaxation mode. It’s comprised of lavender (a classic for sleep and stress relief), with frankincense, vetiver, marjoram, and bergamot. If you’re winding down in the evening or running a bath, this would be the scent to reach for.
Vital Clarity (Detox)
Vital Clarity is a bright, citrus-herb blend made from lemon, grapefruit, basil, rosemary, and black pepper. The combination gives it a fresh, zesty aroma with subtle herbal undertones. According to Evolve, it’s designed for moments when you want to feel more alert or focused.

About Evolve Beauty
If you haven’t come across this lovely brand before, Evolve is a British beauty brand founded in 2009 by Laura Rudoe. It’s known for small-batch, organic products that do what they promise without compromising on values. Vegan, cruelty-free, and B Corp certified, its ethos is grounded in transparency and sustainability. Even the packaging choices (recycled glass, card, and PET) speak to the eco-conscious mindset.
But beyond credentials, Evolve has always been about blending nature with results. Its skincare formulas highlight the percentage of organic content and hero natural actives, so there’s no slathering on “green beauty” as a label just because. The new aromatherapy range takes their ingredient-first approach and extends it into the territory of mood, energy, and emotional balance.
Where to find it
Evolve’s aromatherapy collection launched on 22 September 2025 and is available from their website. Rollerballs cost £14, essences £24, bath oils £25, and body oils £28. Three of the blends are COSMOS-certified organic, and Wild Divine is COSMOS-certified natural. As with all Evolve products, they’re made without synthetic solvents or hidden chemicals.
