Flat Iron Square is going all in on Christmas this year. Running now through December, the London Bridge hotspot has transformed its outdoor terrace into Yuletide Yard – a full-blown winter playground created with Camden Town Brewery. Expect the world’s smallest pub, neon fairground glow, limited-edition street food, festive cocktails, live entertainment and enough twinkling lights to soften even the most stubborn Scrooge.

Below is everything you need to know about this year’s Christmas festivities at Flat Iron Square and why you should plan a visit:

What to expect from this year’s Yuletide Yard

Flat Iron Square, known for its open-air courtyard and mix of food traders, has given its outdoor terrace a full festive treatment for the season. The space is lined with Christmas trees, garlands and twinkling lights, creating a clear winter set-up as soon as you step in from Southwark Street. The terrace layout remains open and easy to move through, but the added décor gives it a brighter, more seasonal feel, especially in the evening when the lights are fully lit.

Inside, the festive styling continues. The main bar and food area is dressed with neon fairground-style signs, mistletoe dotted around the venue and some festive photo spots (who doesn’t love a festive photoshoot?).

Meet The Three Jingle Bells: The world’s smallest pub

One of the main draws this year is The Three Jingle Bells — the world’s tiniest pub with room for just one bartender and three guests. It’s bookable here and runs as a 45-minute session for groups that want just a little something more memorable (and much more celebratory) than the usual pub stop. Note that there’s a £10 holding fee per person, so don’t be that friend who ghosts the group chat after booking it. It’s open every week from Thursday to Saturday.

Festive cocktails and seasonal serves

Why stick to a classic margarita in December when you can lean into the full festive fantasy? Yuletide Yard has its own dedicated cocktail bar, and the menu comes with all the wintry flavours we all need to try hard to pretend we don’t love but absolutely do. These include (beware, your mouth will be watering soon):

Cinnamon Bun Espresso Martini (£14): A proper decadent spin on the espresso martini, made with Absolut Blue and paired with a delicious Little Moons Salted Caramel Mochi (basically dessert disguised as a drink, and no one’s complaining).

Winter Berry Martini (£14): A bright, sharp martini made with Absolut Raspberry and served alongside a Little Moons Very Berry Sorbet Mochi. If you like your drinks fruity but still firmly in winter mode, this is the one.

Jameson Irish Coffee (£13): A reliable classic for cold evenings (or any evening, really!), with Jameson, espresso, demerara and nutmeg. Like the other cocktails, it leans slightly towards the sweeter side.

Champagne Paloma (£13): A fizzy, bougie twist on the classic Paloma, with Altos Reposado, Three Cents Grapefruit Soda and Perrier-Jouët Rosé. The least sweet out of the menu, but still very much a celebratory pick.

We tried the expresso and winter berry martini – both delicious and definitely the highlights of the menu.

Limited-edition Christmas street food

If you’ve never been to Flat Iron Square, the space has three permanent traders set up around the yard, and operates like a street-food courtyard: you order from the counter, grab a buzzer, and go pick up your order once ready. There’s Neapolitan-style pizzas from Dough, fried chicken from Flock, and Greek wraps and boxes from Opa, plus the usual bar snacks and sides.

For Yuletide Yard, each of the resident kitchens is literally bringing a Christmas special to the table. Expect proper comfort food and festive twists on the traders’ traditional cuisines:

Dough: A Pork & Fennel Sausage pizza layered with scamorza, fior di latte, Grana Padano, shredded Brussels sprouts, sage and honey.

Flock: Crispy Southern fried chicken tenders with Flock ranch, cranberry sauce, potato rösti and pickled red cabbage.

Opa: A Greek Christmas wrap filled with grilled chicken skewer, spiced red cabbage, roasted chestnuts, cranberry & honey sauce and fries tucked inside homemade corn pita.

Of course, nothing is stopping you from ordering from the regular menu (which is what we did!). Both the pizza from Dough and vegetarian wrap from Opa were delicious and they are all reasonably priced.

Live entertainment all season

Food and drinks might be what we’ll go to Yuletide Yard for, but the entertainment is what makes us stay past 8pm on a random Tuesday. This season, there’s a full programme of events under Festive as Hells, the Christmas takeover created with Camden Town Brewery. The line-up covers:

Santa SpeedQuizzing: Every Tuesday at 7:30pm. Tickets cost £2 and include a free pint, with a £100 bar tab and Camden merch available to win.

Christmas Karaoke: Thursday 20 November and Thursday 11 December from 7pm. Bring the friend who treats Mariah Carey’s high notes like a personal challenge every Christmas.

The British Bublé: Thursday 27 November and Thursday 4 December at 7pm. A live Michael Bublé tribute act performing the classic Christmas songs we all love.

Festive DJ Sets: Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 5:30pm, with DJs mixing Christmas tracks into regular crowd favourites.

Bookings and private parties

Flat Iron Square is open throughout the season for private hire, with bespoke bookings available for groups of 25 to 400. Entry to Festive as Hells itself is free, and the venue is available for both corporate and social gatherings during its run.
