Sometimes I have to give products the benefit of the doubt. I hold on to the premise that “it will get better” because I can’t come to terms with the fact that a £60 product has just given me a rash and now I need to pile on my foundation like I’m layering a birthday cake.
Luckily, with other products, the exact opposite happens. I have tried CabanaCreme for this face sunscreens review, and I haven’t stopped wearing it ever since. Even with a variety of other face sunscreens on display across my beauty shelf (much to my partner’s discontent), I kept reaching for this SPF morning after morning—until I finally gave in to the fact that it’s become my de facto primer/moisturiser/SPF. And so it will be, right up until the last pump.
I think the reason I keep coming back to it boils down to two things:
- The creamy texture is exactly like that of a daily moisturiser. It doesn’t feel like an SPF.
- The branding is so beautiful that you instinctively want to pick it up.
While CabanaCreme set the bar high, the brand has released updates: Naked Sundays just launched a range of SPF50 hybrids, including foundation tints (available in 13 shades) and a set of CabanaGlow Glow Drops—serums in a few different shades that can be used as highlighters, bronzers, and blushers.
Here’s a bit more about the products and how they played out before I share the end result:
The BeautyScreen SPF50 Peptide Foundation Tint
The formula
The BeautyScreen SPF50 Peptide Foundation Tint is a 2-in-1 foundation and SPF50. Aside from being fragrance-free for those with sensitive skin, it includes peptides for collagen production and ingredients like niacinamide, squalane and polyglutamic acid to boost hydration and moisture retention.
Lastly, the product is powered by 12% non-nano zinc oxide, a mineral filter that’s generally more stable and less irritating than many chemical UV filters. Shade-wise, there are 13 options, so it’s not the widest range ever, but it offers a decent variety for a tint.
It is water-resistant up to 80 minutes, but you should reapply it regularly if you’re out in the sun. Because it’s a tinted product, reapplying over makeup can be tricky — but that’s why we have SPF50 mists.
The coverage and feel
This foundation tint sits somewhere between a serum and a sheer foundation. If you’re dealing with significant redness or acne scars, you’ll still want a concealer or other foundation with stronger coverage, but for days when you just want to smooth out patchiness and look fresh-faced, it works beautifully.
I use a light-coverage foundation because I’m lucky enough to have somewhat clear skin and, in all honesty, this foundation tint gives me a very similar result.
It dries down to a soft, natural look, and you could never tell it has SPF50. It layers well over my moisturiser too (aka the workhorse CabanaCreme). The finish wasn’t too shiny for my dry skin, but those with oily skin may disagree.

Overall verdict
Overall, the BeautyScreen SPF50 Peptide Foundation Tint feels light, comfortable, and does a solid job smoothing skin tone while offering serious sun protection. It’s not a heavy-duty foundation replacement or a miracle skincare product, but it’s the perfect hybrid for days when you want a natural look.
It retails for £38 and you can see the different shades here.
CabanaGlow SPF50 Glow Serums
The formula
The new CabanaGlow is a range of 5 make-up/SPF hybrid products with a slight shimmer. The formula includes pink algae, hyaluronic acid, and rosella extract to hydrate and protect the skin (so yes, there is a strong skincare component, too).
The range includes what we would typically class as a bronzer, highlighter and blush. However, you can use the serums as you please: alone, layered under makeup, or even mixed with your foundation tint (bronzer+tint could work well for a tanned look).

How it looks and feels
I tried the bronzer drops and the texture is light and liquidy, which makes it easy to blend. I used it just as a bronzer, not mixed in with another product (call me boring!) and applied a touch across the top of my forehead, temples, and along the hollows of my cheeks.
There’s only one shade (a reminder that this isn’t a makeup product), but it is warm-golden and gives my skin a sun-kissed dimension. Unlike many bronzers, this one doesn’t use heavy mica or glitter, so it doesn’t settle into pores or emphasise texture.
Overall verdict
The finish is breathable and comfortable and lasted well throughout the day, so I would quite easily replace my current bronzer with this product. The highlighter and blush share the same subtle shimmer.
All CabanaGlow Serum Drops cost £40.80 – see the entire range here.
I have used the BeautyScreen SPF50 Peptide Foundation Tint and the bronzer (cue photo on the right). There’s nothing else on my face aside from serum, moisturiser, and a bit of mascara so you can see how natural the tint and bronzer look.
They even out my skin tone and give me a soft glow, perfect for warmer days when I just want a low-effort, fresh-faced look. But with a few strategic sweeps, it’s easy to elevate the finish to something more sculpted and event-ready.

To buy or not to buy
You definitely don’t need the whole CabanaGlow collection (though it’s hard not to want it!), and you still need a strong SPF base, be it the CabanaCreme or others. Yet, it’s better to have multiple options than none at all, and we are definitely spoiled for choice with this new line.
Personally, the glowy drops are more of a holiday fling, while the foundation tint is absolutely marriage material (aka will wear it everyday until September ends). But overall, this range is playful, it’s fun, and it made me love summer even more.
