Next Friday, the 28th of November, Christabel’s is reopening with a new home on Winsley Street, just off Oxford Street, bringing its late-night members’ club back to the centre of London. Known for live music, intimate shows and a high-profile, creatively minded crowd, the club has moved through a few different locations over the years, but managed to keep a loyal following.
The story of Christabel’s in London
Christabel’s originally launched in 2020 inside Fulham Town Hall, starting as an experimental, late-night arts project at a time when the city was half-shut. In 2021, it moved into a townhouse on Percy Street in Fitzrovia, where the mix of live music, fashion people, actors, and industry regulars began to solidify into a loyal members’ crowd.
When that site closed in 2022 after a structural issue, the club relocated to a discreet basement beneath The Windmill Theatre – its most intimate version, and the one that attracted a steady stream of musicians and creative teams, from members of Black Sabbath and Babyshambles to Shane McGowan’s circle.
Across these stages, the following stayed largely the same: people from London’s cultural world who wanted somewhere to go after midnight that wasn’t a nightclub or a restaurant keeping the lights on. That concept is being carried into its new permanent home on Winsley Street.

What to expect from the new Winsley Street location
The ambiance
The new Christabel’s sets the tone the second you step inside. The lighting is low, and the dark wood and marble bar anchors the space, while peach velvet seating and patterned armchairs are arranged around it. It’s compact, intimate, and remarkably glamorous. Everything from the furniture to the layout of the space makes it clear you’re in a premium members’ club, not a standard late-night venue, and it’s inviting enough to make you want to settle in.
The entertainment
Christabel’s keeps its late-night format from previous locations. The club now has a full live music licence, which means entertainment can run continuously throughout the night. The programme rotates between live bands, burlesque performances, and DJ sets, depending on the evening. Closing time is 4am, with the option to stay open until 6am for special events.
The drinks
The drinks menu features a collaboration with Keira Chaplin – actor, model and granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin. Her Generations spirits brand (which includes vodka, gin and whiskey) is used across several of the cocktails. Christabel’s also keeps its signature option, the pale pink Coracho Rosado Tequila, on the list. The rest of the menu is a small selection of house cocktails and classics, kept straightforward and easy to navigate.
